The Dino tennis squad had an amazing week on the courts participating in a pre-region tournament on Thursday and then a home meet with the Manti Templars on Friday.  After a dominant performance at the pre-regionals where they were a perfect 4-0 against the competition they then returned home to face the Templars defeating them 3-2.

At the pre-region tournament Carbon faced competition from four other teams. First up was San Juan,  the Dinos won all of their  matches going a perfect 5-0. Next up they took on the Richfield Wildcats dropping two individual matches but going on to take the overall 3-2.  They would end the day going up against South Sevier and Gunnison defeating them 4-1 and 5-0 respectively.

The Carbon singles would run the table in their matches with Manti going a perfect 3-0, in fact all three matches were straight set victories. Preston Condie, Jack Livingston and Leonard Livingston all made quick work of their competition. Condie went 6-2 and 6-2. Jack Livingston didn’t drop a game in his first set winning 6-0 and just one game in the second winning 6-1. Leonard Livingston would win his match in similar fashion 6-0 and 6-2.

On the doubles side, the team of Derrick Jorgensen and Alex Callahan suffered a straight set loss as did the team of Camden Chamberlain and Zach Gregersen.

Ahead for the Dinos this week is a road match with Maesar Prepatory Academy and home for Grand before they head south for a tournament in St. George.
