Green River just came off a 15 point loss last week to No.9 Whitehorse, and had to be ready to turn around and play the No.5 team in 1A, the Wayne Badgers on Tuesday night. The Lady Pirates struggled against the Badgers 66-29.
The Badgers play in arguably the toughest region in 1A, Region 20, with more than half of the top 15 teams in the RPI residing in it. Wayne is in the No. 5 spot this week with a record of 8-5.

The second half was more of the same with Wayne outscoring the Lady Pirates 34-17. At the end of the day, Green River was outmatched but they still look forward to when they can get back on the floor.
Abigail Irwin scored 20 points, as she continued her great season leading the team in points. Liliana Gonzalez added four with Kassidy Lenhoff scoring three and Jenilee Andrus putting up two.
Another quick turn around as Monticello comes to town on Wednesday night. Monticello has a 1-11 record and holds the No.18 spot.
