
The Lady Dinos are sitting at 5-2 early in the 2022-2023 season, still playing the non-region part of the schedule. On Tuesday, they welcomed the North Sanpete Hawks and were able to secure the win 3-1.
The Dinos have had a great season so far, their first loss of the season was to Manti, the Templars are a perennial 3A powerhouse, the other loss came at the hands of 5A Uintah.
All the fireworks in this one came in the first half as both teams scored all the goals for the entire contest. Carbon stayed the course and came away with the win.
Beverly Lancaster kept up her pace scoring one in the game. Allie Smith found the back of the net as did Jezmin Pressett. Kacie Brady, Amiah Timothy and Shalyce Rahaula all contributed to the win with one assist each.
On Tuesday the Canyon View Falcons come to Price to kick-off the region schedule. On September 1, The Utah High School Activities Association will release the initial RPI rankings. The rankings will then be updated after every game and then will be used at the end of the season for rankings on the state playoffs.
Carbon has just one non-region game left, Thursday when they head to Nephi to face Juab. The Wasps are sitting at 3-4 this season.
