Albert Motte, age 92, passed away peacefully at Pinnacle Nursing & Rehab in Price, Utah on November 10, 2022.

He was born on August 17, 1930 to Louis and Teresa Listello Motte.

Albert was drafted into the Army in 1950. He was stationed three miles from the DMZ in South Korea with the Corp of Engineers. He was first cook with the rank of Sergeant.

In December of 1952, he returned home to his family and “His Cute Little Blonde,” Carla Boyack. They were married on January 26, 1953.

They moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1955. He worked as a service manager for Rollins Truck Leasing Company as a diesel mechanic for 25 years. When the company opened a branch in Salt Lake City, Albert and Carla moved back to Utah. They made their home in Murray, Utah and Albert retired in 1995 after working for Rollins for 40 years.

Carla passed away on July 5, 2015 after being married for 62 years. After her passing, Albert moved back to Price to be close to family and Pine Bluff in Minnie Maude Canyon.

Albert leaves behind two brothers and a sister, Lawrence Motte, Gary (Nancy) Motte and Camilla (Harold) Pruitt, all of Price, Utah; and nieces and nephews, Larry Motte, Merlene (Kurt) Archibald, Darlene (Chris) Evans, Dianne (Tom) Hyatt, Kerry (Jeff) Motte, Carla (Quinn) Nelson, Debbie (Tony) Mower, Teresa (Tony) Herrera, and Robert (Kristi) Pruitt.

Although Albert and Carla could not have any children of their own, there is a man who filled that void, Jesse France. He was their daytime son.

Albert also leaves behind 25 great-nieces and nephews; 32 great-great-nieces and nephews; and numerous nieces and nephews on Carla’s side of the family.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Teresa Listello Motte; wife, Carla; sister-in-law, Beverly Motte; and nephews, Danny Motte and Jim Carroll.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Heirloom Inn and Pinnacle Nursing & Rehab for the care and compassion they showed Albert. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity.

Funeral service, Thursday, November 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price, Utah). The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Cliffview Cemetery, Price, Utah where military honors will be rendered for Albert by the Price American Legion Post 3.
