
Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Lynn R. Peacock, age 66, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023 in Price, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, with his wife and daughter by his side.
Lynn was born May 21, 1956, in Price, Utah to Robert and LaRee Keele Peacock. He grew up in Price and graduated from Carbon High School in 1974.
On January 16, 1981, Lynn married his true love, Careleen VanWagoner, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their first home was in Cleveland, Utah where they welcomed their three children, Jeremy, Derek and Tenille. In 1990, they moved their family to Price.
Lynn worked for UDOT for 5.5 years before getting a job with UP&L in May 1981. He worked at the Huntington Power Plant until his retirement in August of 2021. Lynn made many great friends and loved working there.
Lynn was very proud of his kids and grandkids and would brag about them any chance he was given.
He took pride in working in his yard and always appreciated the compliments he received in having the best looking yard in the neighborhood. He was truly excited when he received the “Yard of the Month” award.
Lynn’s loves were his family, yard and we can’t forget his hair!
His is survived by his wife, Careleen; sons, Jeremy (Kelsey), Derek (Brittany); daughter, Tenille (Dustin); grandchildren, Cienna, Samaya, Wyatt, Austin, MaKoy, Rylee, Ginny, Maci, Jacoby and two bonus, Kaeda and Nateya; sister, Robyn Brown; brother, Kevin.
Preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; brother-in-law, Wayne Brown; sister, Linda; father-in-law, D.W. VanWagoner.
The family would like to thank Symbii Home Health and Hospice, his nurses, Diane and Tiana, Dr. Etzel and his staff, the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Mitchell Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, it was Lynn’s wishes and the family’s wishes to make donations in Lynn’s name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute or the American Cancer Society.
Graveside service, Saturday, January 14, 2023, 11:30 a.m., Cleveland Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Lynn online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
