It’s time for another Helper Saturday Vibes event on Saturday, June 10 at 5:00 pm and this week’s event has a theme called “Pride.” Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with representatives to discuss all the details.

Last year’s Pride event was a huge success and event organizers are hoping that this weekend’s gathering will be a repeat of last year if not better.  “So this week we’ve got some really great bands, we’ve got two great bands coming on the stage. We’re closing out with Talia Keys. Talia Keys is amazing, if you have never heard her, you need to. So yea, come down, check out Talia she closes that out. We’ve got an amazing margarita this week, we got the Black Cherry Sage, which was super delicious, so definitely come check that out,” said Vendor Manager, Rachel Barbee. There will be a slew of food trucks available for folks to enjoy dinner such as Mambo Truck, Dee’s Kitchen, Angel’s Cravings and you can get a sweet treat from Country Confections.

Many attendees may know that the Helper Saturday Vibes Advisory Committee is hosting a History Hunt which is similar to a scavenger hunt but with pictures. “Basically, the History Hunt is kind of a trivia/scavenger style event. Where at 5:00 pm on the Helper Vibes website, https://www.helpervibes.com/ we post a trivia question and it is some history about Helper, I’m not going to give you anymore than that and we got some awesome, awesome, awesome prizes,” said Advisory Committee Member, Kylee Howell. Individuals can learn more about the Helper History Hunt activity on the Helper Saturday Vibes website or speak with any Helper Saturday Vibes Event Representative.

Also new this year is BINGO which will take place during the band’s intermission at 7:00 pm. “Well, everyone loves BINGO. BINGO is a great American tradition. But I am choosing to kind of fall into the tradition of the Chicken Super Grade from the Seattle 90s, its basically a fundraising effort. We’re going to be encouraging other people to do drag, but I personally will be in drag doing fundraising for Eastern Utah Women’s Health, RUQIS which is the Rural Utah Queer Inclusion Services and Helper Vibes. So when you buy a card for BINGO it’s $5.00 each, and you can choose your beneficiary, and then we’ll just have a couple of rounds, probably three to five, around 7:00 pm is when we start, again, like Kylee mentioned, there’s tons of great prizes,” said Advisory Committee Member, Willard Cron. This will take place on the Main Street Stage where the bands play.

Guests are reminded to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as they find a spot to sit and enjoy the evening entertainment. Individuals wanting more information about Helper Saturday Vibes can visit their Facebook page or their website.
