Heading to Nephi on Tuesday to face Juab in a region contest, the Lady Spartans were still searching for their first victory of the season. Unfortunately, Emery struggled offensively and gave up five goals to the Wasps falling 5-1.

The Spartans suffered their seventh loss of the season and sit at 0-5 in region play. Thursday the initial RPI rankings will be released by the Utah High School Activities Association, and the rankings will be updated after each game until the end of the regular season with the final number being used as placement for the championship tournament.

Illyria Mason got the Spartans their lone goal in the game in the first half, the Wasps would score three times in the first claiming the 3-1 halftime lead.

In the second half, Juab would add two more taking the 5-1 win over Emery.

Juab’s Karlie Sperry and Addison Hiatt each scored a goal and had an assist with Kaira Lowe adding one goal and a pair of assists in the Wasp’s win.

The initial RPI will be released on Thursday morning, check back with Castle Country Radio for the rankings as soon as they are released.

The Spartans are back home on Thursday to face Region 12 foe Richfield, game-time is set for 4:00 p.m..
