The Lady Spartans were on the road on Tuesday in Mount Pleasant to face North Sanpete. This was the first of the next three contests that will be away from home for Emery. North Sanpete came out earning the win 5-1, dropping the Spartans to 2-4 this season.

Brooklyn Ekker earned the only win in the matches on Tuesday, taking the 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 over Abrianna Benson . Cheyenne Bingham fell to North Sanpete’s Isabella Lewis 6-0 and 6-1, and in third singles Chloe Wagner was defeated by Genvieve Thompson 6-0 and 6-4 .

In doubles matches, Tailynn Minchey and Acelyn Migliori fell in straight sets in the first doubles match. Kallee Oliver and her doubles partner Julia Peterson dropped their match to Shea Rawlinson and Madison Johansen 6-0, 6-1 and in third doubles Taya Cowley and Lily Sorenson lost to Sadie Job and Alivia Madsen 6-0 and 6-0.

The Lady Spartans will be back on the road at Delta on Thursday. They won’t be back home until September 7, when they face Carbon.
