Over the weekend Carbon High School hosted schools from all across the state, boy’s and girl’s teams. The Carbon team finished in fourth, and the Carbon 2 team finished in fifth. The Carbon girls ended the weekend in second place.
For the Carbon team, Eleke Lang finished with an 8-1 record, Preston Martinez went 7-2, and a pair of wrestlers Gavin Fausett, and Vaylan Unsworth ended their weekends with a 6-3 record.
Brax Tapia had a fantastic showing for the Carbon 2 team having a perfect weekend going 10-0, Jace Barlow was 9-1, Trevor Jones was 8-2, and Ashdyn Densley and Kaden Donathan each went 7-3.
The Lady Dinos had another top finish ending their tournament in second place. Three Dinos finished in first place in their class with perfect 5-0 records, Fortune Ward at the 126-132 class, Rickelle Collins at 165-179, and Grace Lamb at the 180-201 class.
The boy’s team will be at South Summit on Thursday and then will be on the road at the Viewmont Invitational on Friday and Saturday
The Lady Dinos will be on the road at the Artemis Battle Tournament in Salem Hills.
