Becky Leila Pons Knowles, age 61, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 16, 2024 in Helper, Utah. She was born in Orange County, California to Hendrick and Arlene Rae Chandler Pons on December 5, 1962.

Becky spent most of her childhood on the beaches of California and later in Salt Lake City, Utah. As an adult, she lived in West Valley City where she met Allan Vanover and had her first child Jason. She later met and married Richard Knowles and had another son Richard Jr. and daughter Jessica. She lived in Lake Tahoe and worked many years in Reno as a change girl and later at the Willow Creek Mine in the tool trailer where she was well known and liked. She went on to graduate from Cameo College Beautician School and enjoyed doing hair, nails, and makeup until she retired. Becky was known for her generosity and kindness. She will be sorely missed.

Becky is survived by her children, Jason (Erinn) Vanover and Jessica Knowles; grandchildren, Hailey, Camrynn, Alexis, Madilynn, and Jagger; siblings, Linda Pons, Gloria (Shel) Jensen, and Chris Sterling; and many more family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Knowles Jr.; sister, Laura Ingleby; brothers, Mitchell Pons and Kelly Pons.

Memorial service, Friday, February 9, 2024, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery in Helper, Utah.
