
Carbon baseball was on the road Tuesday when they traveled to Delta to take on the Rabbits. The Dino bats were alive all game long and defensively they were able to shut down Delta to take the 10-2 win.
Carbon holds a 7-2 record overall and a 2-0 mark in Region 12.
The Dinos put up five runs in the first two innings while putting the clamps on the Rabbits with Michael Vigil on the mound for Carbon who allowed just one hit through three innings while he struck out five.
Delta would get on the board in the bottom of the fourth cutting into the Carbon lead 5-2.
At the top of the fifth Carbon’s Rydge Butler would step up to the plate with the bases loaded and send a single to center bringing in Tyrus Madsen and Logan Bennett pushing the score to 8-2. Vigil would come up again later in the inning sending a fly ball to left driving in Stockton Kennedy and Butler, Carbon will hold on to take the 10-2 win.
Vigil collected a pair of hits and RBIs., Peyton Molinar had two hits and two runs scored. Cameron Vasquez added a hit and a pair of RBIs, and Madsen and Kennedy each had two hits with Kennedy adding two runs scored and Madsen added one.
Jaxon Ingram came into the game to take over for Vigil and put in two innings of work giving up three hits, two earned runs, and striking out four. Trevor William closed out the game for the Dinos.
Carbon will welcome the Rabbits to Price on Wednesday, game time is set for 3:00 p.m..
