The staff at A Perfect Smile keeps on growing and growing. Castle Country Radio sat down with some of the newest additions to the team Dr. Tanner Weeks, Dr. Tyler Hanis and Dr. Morrie Talbot, to talk about what led them to work in dentistry and what they love most about working at A Perfect Smile.

Dr. Talbot

“I’m originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. My family, we all live in Vernal, Utah right now.” Spoke Talbot about his origins. 

Talbot has worked in dentistry for 25 years, but explained that originally that wasn’t the plan,” When I was originally looking at going to medical school, it’s when the government was starting to play around with a little bit of health care reform and things were kind of scary back then with wanting to go to medical school.” Talbot continued,” I had a brother who’s a dentist. He went to dental school first. He came home from one of his breaks and said, hey, you’ve got all the prerequisites to go to dental school. So I took the dental entrance exam, applied, and here I am.”

“The thing that I enjoy the most is being able to use the latest technology that dentistry has to offer. We have same-day crowns, a lot of new materials that we can use that help your dentistry last a lot longer than what it used to.” Talbot explained as to what he enjoys most about working at A Perfect Smile,” And I also enjoy the staff that I work with. They’re all very professional in what they do.” 

Dr. Hannis

“I’m originally from Houston, Texas. And now my family and I are living here and just outside of Price and Carbonville.” Hannis then spoke of his admiration for Carbon County saying,” It’s been quite an adjustment, but it’s been pretty fantastic. We’ve enjoyed being here and enjoyed being in a smaller town, with a little slower pace of life.

When asked about why he got into dentistry, Hannis responded,” I have a brother who’s also a dentist. And so I got to see his path, see how much he enjoyed it, and decided, you know what, I think I’d enjoy doing that too. I enjoy working with people and talking with people, doing different things. And so I saw what he was able to do and said, ‘Hey, I think I can do it too’ and decided to do it.

“I enjoy the staff that we work with every day.” stated Hannis,” I enjoy coming to work and being around people. I love all the different people who come in and I get to interact with them. And then also I’m just grateful that we have some of the latest things to use, that we’re able to do great work and great quality work.”

Dr. Weeks

Weeks was born in Arizona, but originally from Kennesaw, Georgia which is located northwest of Atlanta.

Speaking of why he wanted to become a dentist, Weeks explained that he has wanted to pursue this career since childhood,” I had a close family friend growing up who was a dentist. I liked his quality of life and his profession just seemed interesting. So I studied a little bit and I was hooked on it.”

As for why he enjoys A Perfect Smile, Weeks explained,” A Perfect Smile has a lot to offer. I feel like our facility is top-tier. We have a lot of high-tech equipment, a lot of new chairs, and a lot of things that make the patient comfortable. So that allows us as doctors to give them the best experience and give them high-quality care.”
