With only three months left in the school year for most Carbon and Emery High School Seniors it’s time to start getting the necessary applications submitted to their college of choice. Local seniors planning to attend USU Eastern need to submit their Admissions and Scholarship applications quickly.
David Mathis, Market Manager said, “March 1st coming up next Tuesday is the big deadline so make sure you get out there get everything you need submitted to the University for the application then we can sort everything else out after that, but March 1st is the big deadline for any potential scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year.”
Academic Scholarships are based on the student’s GPA and ACT/SAT score. All applications will be automatically considered for an academic scholarship if the student’s application is received by the deadline.
Students are also strongly encouraged to apply for Federal Financial Aid at www.fafsa.gov. Mathis finished by saying, “Feel free to come in and stop by the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center go upstairs to the second floor to our one stop Student Services. We got our Academic Advisors there, we got our Financial Aid Advisors there, they will be able to walk you through the whole process.”
