Our loving and sweet Martha Moreno King, passed away suddenly March 7, 2016 at her home in Price at the age of 77.
She was born May 3, 1938 in Durango, Colorado to Trinidad and Carmen Romero Moreno. Married her sweetheart, Thomas L. King, August 1, 1964 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price.
Martha was a devout member of the Catholic Church who loved going to church. She loved visiting about as much as she loved shopping. Martha was one of the most loving and caring individual’s that anyone met. Her warmth, generosity and contagious smile brought comfort to every situation. She graduated from Carbon High in 1957 and later from beauty school in Salt Lake. For years, Martha worked as a hair stylist at Neat Barber Shop and Image of Beauty in Price where she was blessed with many lifelong friends.
Martha was always concerned for the well-being of others and her granddaughters meant the world to her. She supported her family in all their endeavors, the only mistake she made was buying her guys their first set of golf clubs. She was incredibly proud of her family and their accomplishments. Martha opened her heart to everyone and her family did likewise. She was blessed with a multitude of friends and her memory will be cherished forever.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas L. King, Price; her beloved son, Thomas C. (Rebecca C.) King; granddaughters, Samantha C. King, Kellee A. King, all of Wellington; sister, Dolores (Ross) Marquez, Cedar Edge, CO; brother, Jim Moreno, Salt Lake City; brother-in-law, Herman Nava, Price; many loving nieces, nephews, and a community of friends and neighbors.
Preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad and Carmen Moreno; in-laws, Thomas C. and Angelina O. King; and just recently by her sister, Pauline Nava.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, March 12, 2016, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price. Vigil service, Friday evening 7:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery, Price.
