The Carbon Lady Dinos suffered a loss for third consecutive time Wednesday afternoon, this time falling to American Fork 8-5 at home.

Kinley Nelson was charged with the loss on the hill for the Lady Dinos as American Fork tallied seven hits. Out of the seven hits given up the opposition turned in one triple and three doubles. McKenna Sorenson logged Carbon's only extra base hit with a double.

Playing for the first time since falling in the region opener to North Sanpete, the Lady Dinos struggled to produce runs in the non-league tilt. During the three game skid Carbon has been outscored 24-7, dropping their season record to 7-4 overall.

Carbon will look to turn around quickly from Wednesday's loss as they travel to Moab to meet the Grand Red Devils in an exhibition contest on Thursday. The team will then resume Region 12 action on Tuesday as they to Richfield to battle the Wildcats.
