The Emery tennis team was on the road on Tuesday as they traveled to Gunnison for a match-up with the Bulldogs. In a very successful outing the Spartans returned only dropping six sets the whole day and winning 5-0.

Coming off a region loss at the hands of Richfield last week, the Spartans regrouped as they were on the road taking on a non-region foe.

In No. 1 singles, Morgan Hughes took the match with a final score of 6-2 and 6-1. In the other singles matches Carlie Bennett and Paige Cox were both winners in straight sets.

As for doubles the No. 1 team of Haley Guymon and Shaylee Grange found victory 6-0 and 6-2, and the team of Aspen Taylor and Megan Hess won their match as well 6-0 and 6-1.

The Spartans now take off the rest of this week as they prepare for next weeks contest with Carbon at the tennis courts in Price.

Matches are set to begin at 3:30.
