Carbon Tennis headed into the final match of the regular season as they traveled to face the Maesar Prep Lions in Lindon on Wednesday.  The Dinos have had a very successful year and would continue their march towards the post season with a 5-0 victory over the Lions.

Senior Preston Condie claimed a straight set victory in his singles match 6-0, 6-2, in fact all matches against Maesar were straight set wins for the Dinos. On the doubles side, the team of Leonard Livingston and Brandon Scovill defeated the No.1 singles team for Maesar, 6-2, 6-4.

Carbon has been on a run lately with wins over Gunnison and South Sevier the last couple of weeks, added to the win on Wednesday, the Dinos are gaining momentum headed into the post season.

Carbon at Maeser Prep- Carbon wins 5-0

First Singles:

Preston Condie- Win- 6-0, 6-2

Second Singles: 

Jack Livingston- Win- 6-2, 6-1

Third Singles:

Derrick Jorgensen- Win- 6-4, 6-1

First Doubles:

Leonard Livingston

Brandon  Scovill- Win- 6-2, 6-4

Second Doubles:

Alex Carmichael

Garret Bryner- Win- 6-0, 6-1

Carbon finished the regular season with a record of 18-7 and will look ahead to Friday when they will travel to Richfield to compete in the Region 12 Tournament.

The following week the top 3A players in the state will face off in the State Championships at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City May 20-22.
