HUNTINGTON-Orion Jerry Livingston, age 16, our loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend, passed away unexpectedly August 18, 2021.

Orion was born on October 11, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was welcomed home by his loving parents Travis and Cathy and his older brother Griffin. When he was two years old, he and his family moved to Huntington where he attended Huntington Elementary School, Canyon View Jr. High, and Emery High School. Many great teachers and friends positively influenced Orion, encouraging him to develop his talents and individuality.

Orion, or Ryzee as he was known by his family, was loving and affectionate. He never failed to hug his parents and tell each of them “I love you” every morning before he left for school. He was especially close with Griffin, with whom he had numerous adventures, including jeep-riding, shooting guns, and just being together.

Orion’s family considers it a heavenly gift that Griffin, who had moved away to pursue other adventures, was able to return home and spend precious time with Orion before leaving for basic training at Ft. Benning.

Orion also was especially close to his grandparents. He would often sit with his Grandmother Killian to keep her company while his mom and grandpa were on doctor visits.

He and his friends had free reign of Grandpa and Grandma Livingston’s kitchen and would often stop before and after school for treats and grandma hugs.

Orion was a jokester with a seemingly endless supply of material. His jokes usually were awful, but his delivery made those around him laugh and appreciate his good nature. He also loved (!!) playing the X-box and making YouTube videos.

Orion recently got his first job, working at Hometown Market. He was so proud of his job and planned to purchase boxing gloves with his first paycheck. Although he didn’t wear the uniform for long, it put a big smile on his face. He was a hard worker, helping around the house, including mowing the lawn plus a few sprinkler heads as well.

He is survived by his loving parents, Travis and Cathy Livingston; his older brother, Griffin (19); grandparents, Clark and Mary Jean Killian, of Price, and Jerry and Thelma Livingston, of Huntington; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends love and miss him tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bruce J. Killian.

Funeral service, Saturday, August 21, 2021, 11:00 a.m., Huntington Stake Center where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery.
