There is a new organization that has been established in the area that helps homeless pets. Castle Valley Rescue is looking forward to being in attendance for an adoption event at Helper Saturday Vibes-Everything Animal gathering on May 28.  Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Coordinator, Stacy Price to discuss all the details about the new organization and the upcoming adoption event.

“I came down from Duchesne County and I was affiliated with a rescue in Duchesne County for the past six or seven years and I fostered for them for many years. When I moved down here, I was looking into ways that I could help foster down here and there was not a dog rescue down here. There is Carbon Cat Rescue but I don’t know very much about cats so I decided that I could start my own and be able to help the shelters lower their intake numbers and outcomes, and create new opportunities for the pets in the shelter,” said Price. The mission statement for Castle Valley Rescue is to “Help homeless pets by providing resources, love, and support while promoting education, and humane treatment in our community.”

Helper Saturday Vibes has a theme set for their celebration on May 28 called Everything Animal so Castle Valley Rescue thought this would be a great opportunity to conduct an adoption event.  “Carbon Cat Rescue is attending, I asked them a few days ago, and they are planning on being there. Helper Vibes is having a Everything Animal event that day and it starts at 4:00 pm and goes to 10:30 pm. We’ll be there with, we have five adoptable dogs right now in rescue and Carbon Cat Rescue will be there as well,” stated Price. Helper Saturday Vibes is held at the Main Park in Helper and along Main Street. This is a perfect venue for those looking for a new companion to come meet these five adoptable dogs that are in rescue now.

The organization is always looking for foster parents to help house the dogs while they wait to be adopted. “We have an online application that they can fill out and then once we review that we set up an in-home meeting. Once they have been approved to be a foster, we can pull animals that they’re interested in fostering. So what we do with all of our fosters is we’ll send out texts of animals in need, and then if they’re interested in fostering one they reply back, and we can set up an in-home meeting with that pet. Most of the criteria for fostering is we prefer a fenced yard because it makes it easier for containment and all of your pets need to be vaccinated,” stated Price.
