There is a certain level of excitement that comes along with meeting those who have taken us to a better place through the world of entertainment. Those who have felt that experience will be given an opportunity to see up close and personal at FanX this September in Salt Lake City.

Thousands and thousands of pop culture and curious individuals again packed the Salt Palace Convention Center for an opportunity to see a different side of the universe. From Cosplayers to those in attendance to meet their favorite stars, the weekend brought loads of thrills.

“Getting to meet Dwight Schrute was a thrill like no other,” said Carbon County native April Buscarini, who spent time with Rainn Wilson, who plays Schrute on the acclaimed TV show The Office, when Wilson made an appearance in 2018. “That character has brought myself and my husband so much joy. Getting to thank Rainn was just a great experience.”

Meeting age-old favorites and new actors from movies, TV shows, and even voices of cartoons are just some of the quirks of FanX.

Others dressed in their favorite getup, mimicking their favorite comic-book characters, Disney princesses, or even celebrities. The show continues to bring in people of all backgrounds and ages to share a common bond: Entertainment.

“We’ve continued to emphasize coming to FanX year in and year out,” said enthusiast Chris Babb. “The two-hour drive is a formality. My family loves the time together and our daughter enjoys dressing up.”

While the event continues to get bigger and better year in and year out, Dan Farr and the staff keep finding new and innovative ways to keep guests wanting more.

Stay tuned to Castle Country Radio for exciting announcements regarding upcoming guests and panels.
