The Lady Dino volleyball squad headed to Richfield on Tuesday to take on the No. 8 Wildcats.  Through five sets both teams battled back and forth with the Wildcats taking the victory 3-2.

Carbon sits at the No.5 in the RPI with a 10-6 record overall and a 2-2 region record. The Wildcats on the other hand are 11-7 and are 4-0 in league play.

The Lady Dinos were behind early when Richfield quickly jumped out taking the first two sets 25-21 and 25-17.

In sets three and four, Carbon came roaring back fight through and winning both 25-23 and 25-21 evening everything up at two sets apiece.

Coming down to the fifth and final set the Wildcats were on the prowl taking a 15-7 victory, winning 3-2.

Madi Orth came up with 15 kills and eight digs. Taylor Secor added 12 kills as well. Dani Jensen had 25 digs and Jacie Jensen helped out with 20 assists.

The Lady Dinos are down their final games of the season.

They will be home Thursday night to face Canyon View, then next week they will travel to Richfield to participate in the Sevier Valley Tournament.

They will get back to region competition on Wednesday Oct. 12 for the final regular season meeting with the Spartans, and then the following Tuesday they face the Wildcats on more time on Senior night.

The contest on Thursday with Canyon View is set to begin at 6:30.
