Alysha Diane Joe Melo, age 66, passed from a broken heart on September 27, 2022 at her granddaughter’s home in Helper.

She was born February 26, 1956 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Thelma Beed.  On November 30, 1974, Diane married John Andrew Melo in Wellington, Utah.  He preceded her in death on August 25, 2022.

Diane lived for her family and it meant everything to her.  She spent countless hours with her husband, and the time she spent with her girls was priceless. She will be missed deeply by those she loved and a community of friends.

She is survived by her girls, Charlotte (Jeremy) Craig, Staci Melo, both of Ogden; three sisters and three brothers, Debbie Bushman, Vickie Joe, Donna Moreno, Michael, James and Robert Joe, all of Colorado Springs, CO; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother; husband, John Melo; daughter, Diane Kay Melo; and two sons, Johnny and Tom Melo.

Funeral service, Monday, October 3, 2022, 1:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment, Cleveland Town Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
