nurses-banquet

The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce would like to remind all nurses to RSVP by Friday, Dec. 2 for the Nurse’s Banquet to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7. This dinner is free for all nurses – CNAs, LPNs and RNs in the Carbon County area.

Generally, the Chamber’s appreciation dinner in December is usually for First Responders but they decided to switch it up this year. “You know our board started talking about all the sacrifices our nurses made for us during COVID and we decided to change it up so that we could show our appreciation for nurses,” stated Executive Director, Barbie Haeck. This is a wonderful way for the Chamber to recognize all the hard work and sacrifices made by nurses during a time of crisis.

“Well first its for all nurses in Carbon County so it doesn’t have anything to do with Chamber membership its only about nursing in Carbon County. So if you’re an RN, if you’re an LPN, if you’re a CNA – you are welcome to come to this free dinner and bring a guest,” said Haeck. The dinner will be held on the campus of USU Eastern inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.

If you are a nurse and would like to attend the free dinner, please contact the Chamber by phone or email no later than Friday, Dec. 2. “What you need to do is either call the Chamber office at (435) 637-2788 or you can send an email to bhaeck@carboncountychamber.net and let us know who will be attending, where you work, and a good phone number so we can call next week to remind you of the event,” said Haeck. Because of the generous sponsors like Castleview Hospital and Gagon Family Medicine, there will be opportunity drawings held during the dinner for cash prizes totaling up to almost $4,000.00.

Again, this free dinner is for all Carbon County Nurses and it will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 6:00 pm at the USU Eastern Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.
