Another great accolade for the Dinos was that coach Jimmy Jewkes received the award for the 3A Coach of the Year. Jewkes was recently a guest on KOAL’s Drive Time Sports and talked about this past season.
“This is two years in a row that we have had a good state meet, and I think my coaching staff, I’ve got to give all the credit to them. They’re amazing, you know I’ve got Jeff and Jordan Blanc, Heidi Jewkes, Rob Powell, Christen Johnson and I had Jeff Ohlwiler helping with the hurdles this year on and off, to have those guys and that team of coaches around me, they really help manage and take care of situations and we’ve really focused on being positive with the kids.”
