The Lady Spartan Soccer squad has had a rough start to the season with losses against Beaver and a 1-0 loss to Millard in overtime. Thursday they kicked off the region portion of the schedule and fell to the Canyon View Falcons, 7-0.

Canyon View earned the Region 12 championship last season and is looking to repeat that feat this season as well.

The Falcons came out in the first half putting two into the back of the net and then came out in the second half putting five more through the pipes taking the 7-0 win and handing the Spartans their third loss to start the season.

The Spartans have just two games left in the four game home stand as they welcome Delta on Tuesday and then Manti on August 22. After that they will have two on the road against North Sanpete and Juab, before returning home again on August 31 for a contest with Richfield.

The Lady Spartans contest with the Delta Rabbits in  Castle Dale, is set for 4 p.m..
