The Emery Lady Spartans wrapped up a busy week on the golf course Thursday afternoon at the Skyline Course in Mount Pleasant.

Playing for the second time this week, the Lady Spartans earned a fourth-place finish as the team combined to shoot a 430. Richfield continued to dominate region play with a 317, followed by Juab’s 388 and Manti’s 426. Carbon, North Sanpete, and Delta finished behind Emery, respectively.

Cheyenne Bingham led the way for the Lady Spartans she finished with a 93. Brandee Larceval was second with 105, while Reagan Jackson shot a 115. Claire Lindsey and Ava Leonard tied for the fourth score with 117.

Thursday’s meet marked the second competition of the week for Emery. Originally scheduled to travel to Palisades on March 25, weather pushed the event back to this past Monday.

Emery posted another fourth-place finish in Monday’s makeup meet. Richfield coasted a first place nod with a 353, easily topping second place Juab’s 415. Carbon edged Emery for third place with a 445 and Manti rounded out the top five.

Bingham posted the lowest individual score as she ended with 100. Larceval was second at 113, followed by Lindsey’s 120. Reagan Jackson was fourth on the team as she shot 124.

Only one region meet remains on the regular season slate ahead of the 3A state championship, which begins on Wednesday, May 8. Both the region and state championship meets will be held at the Meadow Brook Golf Course in Taylorsville. The region finale is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
