The Lady Spartan golf team, along with all other squads in Region 13, got a look at the course for the State Championships on Monday when they played the Stansbury Park Golf Course. Just as they have done all season, the Union Cougars claimed the crown, posting a 368. Emery finished in third with a 410, plus had a couple of golfers land in the top 15 for scoring this season.

Union once again was dominant, with North Sanpete finishing in second with 389 strokes. Emery (410), Carbon (425), and Manti (431) round out the field. Avery Rasmussen of Union carded the low round of 87 for the day and claimed first place in scoring through the regular season with a 523.

Brandee Larceval shot 92 on the day and earned third place this season with a combined stroke total of 563. Lydia Larsen had a 96, placing her 15th for this season. Avey Laws shot a 111, and Kaicee Behling also shot a 111 to round out the scoring for Emery.

Clarissa Beagley (114), Kodee Behling (114), Rhegan Rhoten (115), and Lailey Downard (121) also competed for Emery.

The Lady Spartans will return to Stansbury Park on Wednesday and Thursday, May 6 & 7, for the 3A State Championships.
